I tried to use the “virtual desktop” feature of oculus to display external windows inside the cockpit of MSFS. I can pin a window to a location by dragging it from the desktop into any location I want. However, once I press the oculus button again to go back to the simulator screen so I can fly the airplane the window I pinned disappears - I tried it with multiple different windows/apps. Essentially either I see the cockpit/simulator stuff or the pinned window from the virtual desktop. What am I missing to make be able to see both at the same time - e.g. to interact with vpilot or to see other pdfs/charts, etc. while flying the airplane in vr?
I have oculus quest 2 and msfs from Microsoft store. Is there a different way to bring external windows into MSFS cockpit with oculus quest 2 and msfs from microsoft store?
