How to get flight plan to avionics on A400m

To import a flight plan into the Airbus A400M in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS 2024), follow these steps:

Create a Flight Plan in SimBrief:

Use SimBrief to generate your desired flight plan.
Ensure you have the appropriate SimBrief profile for the A400M. iniBuilds provides accurate profiles for various aircraft, including the A400M. Y

Enter Your SimBrief Pilot ID in the EFB:

In the A400M’s Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), navigate to the Options page.
Enter your SimBrief Pilot ID in the designated field. Your Pilot ID can be found on the ‘Account Settings’ page on SimBrief.
Import the Flight Plan via the MCDU:

Access the Multifunction Control and Display Unit (MCDU) in the A400M’s cockpit.

1.1Press the INIT button to open the initialization page.
2.Select the INIT REQUEST option on the screen to import the flight plan.
3.If successful, an “AOC RTE UPLINK” message will appear in the scratchpad.

Manually Configure Additional Settings:

After importing, manually input the fuel and load data via the FUEL & LOAD page.
Select the appropriate SIDs (Standard Instrument Departures), STARs (Standard Terminal Arrival Routes), and approach procedures through the F-PLN (Flight Plan) page.

Please note that the “Send to Avionics” function in the EFB’s flight planner is not implemented for some aircraft, including the A400M. Therefore, importing the flight plan directly via the MCDU, as outlined above, is the recommended method.
