How to get Reverb headset to work

Since SU12 I can’t get my reverb headset to work. Anybody else?

I don’t recall any issues.

You may want to elaborate though.
Is the headset not working at all?
Is VR not showing up in MSFS and therefore you are unable to activate VR?
Or are you in sim, the option to switch to VR is there but fails to switch?

Are you using MSFS store or Steam version?
Using OpenXR or Steam VR?
Windows and drivers etc. up to date?

It all worked before SU12. It used to be that if I was not in VR then sound came through my PC speakers. Once I enabled VR sound no longer came through my PC speakers sound came through my Reverb headset.
Headset still works but not sound (in MSFS) in my headset.

Video works fine just the audio does not play through the headset. Works fine in other apps.

Hehe, you said it right there in your initial post….

I seem to recall reading a similar post in the last few weeks with a similar issue regarding lack of sound after the update. I could not tell you what thread, but possibly worth having a search.

Personally I would check the sims is set to use the default windows sound device. Once you have switched to VR in the sim I would then drop back to the Windows desktop to check what current speakers are being used. Do this by clicking on the speaker icon on the task bar then review the playback/speaker devices. I think the G2 speakers/headset is identified as a USB2 device if that helps. It might be worth switching device there to see if the sound returns. If not maybe review the settings for the G2 itself.

Hope this helps.

Fixed it. Set everything back to defaults and it working for now.
