Hello and new to the forum. I am using the Bravo Throttle Quadrant utilizing a Cessna 172.
Under the Brakes -joystick button no. 43 for on and joystick button no. 42 for off. These two switches are not functioning properly. They don’t release the brakes on or off. How can I make these switches function. Currently, I am using the “control” and “number delete” on the keyboard to release the brakes. Any ideas on how to correct this. Using the MSFS Anniversary Edition
Thank you, Gary G.
Hi Gary G,
You mention two devices, “Thrustmaster brakes” and “Bravo Throttle Quadrant”, (I own the Bravo Throttle Quadrant & use MSFS 2024 Version: 1.5.27.0).
This is obviously a device conflict with the assignment, so you need to check what “Brakes” event is assigned to the device switches. I don’t want to assume anything. Can you confirm:
- What “brakes” are you talking about?
There’s two types, “park brake” and “toe brakes” on the rudder pedals.
- You have Thrustmaster rudder pedals with toe brakes?
- What MSFS version?
msfs-2024 Version: 1.5.27.0. or
msfs-2020 Version: 1.39.9.0.
Note that the FS2024 default device profile assigns park brake to the rocker switch on the Bravo Throttle Quadrant.

Please forward to Twodogzz - thank you for the response.
I am sure that I am using MSFS 40th Anniversary version 2024 Version 1.5.27.0 My system was updated yesterday.
I am using the combination toe brakes and rudder pedals which are functioning. It is the parking brake where the trouble is.
Switches 42 and 43 are suppose to control the parking brake but they are not working. They were working before and just quit for some unknown reason.
Thank you, Gary G.
Please notice it says Brakes not Brakes On and Brakes Off. In other words this is not a 2 condition switch. For example if you had the Alpha Yoke Button 1 is for a momentary condition like brakes.
If you flip up button 42 that would be ON when you flip it down (button 43) that would be OFF or vica-versa. These are not momentary buttons on the Bravo
