I try to import from Simbrief to MSFS2024 either general EFB or planes’one but i cannot. Seems rhat a further app is needed (general sim’s EFB) that would be called Simbrief (or Navigraph Dispatch) to use Simbrief for flight plans and datas. So for instance i dial the routes and datas manually on all planes (the only one allowing me to use Simbrief is PMDG 777-300ER, but i have to redo the log in every time i use it…).
As you notice in the tags i am Xbox Series X user and Standard Edition of MSFS2024, last build beta update.
please, any help/instruction/suggestion will be OPEN ARMS welcomed by ne and i would be enormously grateful to you for it.
Maybe also forum managers/MSFS development team answers would be appreciated.
Xbox does not (currently) have access to the SimBrief Dispatch EFB app - while this app makes SimBrief import more convenient, there are ways to do the same thing without it. Below I’ll break things down by aircraft that can import SimBrief directly into the avionics and aircraft that can only import directly into the avionics from the default EFB Flight Planner app.
This guide is written under the assumption that you already understand how to use SimBrief to generate a flight plan and how to import a flight plan into aircraft that use the import feature natively. The intention of this guide is to provide steps for aircraft without that functionality and for aircraft that import both from default tools AND SimBrief where an additional step may be necessary to import from SimBrief that is unique to MSFS 2024.

On the world map of the Free Flight menu plan as much or as little of the flight you would like, including the use of the EFB Flight Planner app
Note that if you wish to use default ATC with an IFR clearance you must create the flight plan in its entirety in the EFB Flight Planner app and then use “Send to ATC” sometime prior to requesting clearance
Once loaded into the flight (preferably cold & dark at a parking spot) go through the aircraft’s typical preflight checklist procedures
When the time comes to import the SimBrief flight plan, follow that aircraft’s specific procedures for this process, with the following caveat
Default iniBuilds Airbus airliners (A310, A320neo, and A330s)
These aircraft recently gained the ability to sync their avionics flight plan with the flight plan in the default Flight Planner/Free Flight world map
This means if you have selected anything more than just a departure airport, the flight computer will start pre-loaded with a flight plan and the ability to import SimBrief will be unavailable
To resolve this you will need to reset the MCDU as follows:
At this point the INIT page should now show INIT REQUEST which will allow SimBrief import (if correctly generated on SimBrief and configured within the aircraft’s EFB)
Create a new flight plan on planner.flightsimulator.com and paste the text you just copied in the previous step into where it says “Enter route as text” and click “Save”
Once this is done open up the world map page of the Free Flight menu, select your aircraft, and open up the EFB (tab is the default keybind to do so from the Free Flight menus)
From the default EFB Flight Planner app click the load icon and select “LOAD FROM WEB” then select the flight plan you just generated on SimBrief
If you wish to start at a parking spot (as recommended for this type of flying) you will need to change the spawn location on the world map as it will have defaulted to an active departure runway
Once spawned into your aircraft, follow standard cold & dark startup procedures - you should see that the flight plan is already loaded into the aircraft at this time
Unlike the direct SimBrief import-supporting aircraft, this method will bring over your entire route (including runways, SID, STAR, and approach if selected in the EFB Flight Planner app)
Also unlike the direct SimBrief import-supporting aircraft, this method will not bring over any fuel or payload weight values - that must be managed manually via the EFB fuel and payload tool
Download the .pln from simbrief for MSFS2024 as .pln
2 way approach:
on PC: import as usual
on Xbox: Upload to planner.microsoft.com | activate the new plan then save the plan | In the EFB this plan is on top of the list | Send to atc and avionics | and you are all set. Take into consideration that planner can save max 100 flightplans before you get a warning that this new pln can cannot be saved.
