How to put add ons into a new hard drive?

hello im new to P.C but not to MSFS,so i recently ran out of space on my C hard drive so now i went out and got a new hard drive to help with storage for the sim,now the problem is how do i use the new hard drive to input my sim addons onto the new drive i guess to make it my new community folder.the case now is i’ve already made the new drive to be my main drive that recieves all the new download material but it’s still not connected to the sim.everything is still going into the community folder but like i’ve said ,the community folder does’nt have any more space,so if anyone can give me the solution i would be cvery appreciative.

Make use of addon-linker. With that it is easy to link addons on another drive or folder to the community folder. The addon remains on that drive and the link may easily made and after use removed.

thank you very much, how do I go about getting this ?.is it an app or is it something thats already on every pc?

I second the suggestion by PHJCV.
Addon Linker is the #1 free addon for the sim in my opnion. I consider it essential.

There is some setup involved, but the instructions are simple yet clear.

I would offer one piece of advice. Copy everything in your Community folder to a temporary folder you create on the new drive, just to backup up your current files. Then you will create a folder structure in the new Addon Linker folder you create on the new drive. I create subfolders like ‘Aircraft’, ‘Scenery’, ‘Tools’, etc.

Move (not copy) one or two of the addons folders currently in Community to the new Linker folder, and test that Linker creates a link in Community. Basically, don’t simply move everything in Community all at once. I had no problems, but they advise testing one or two addon folders at a time, so that’s what I did.

Good luck, and happy flying.

Addon_linker may be downloaded from flightsim.to
Watch the youtube, it may give answers on your questions about using addon_linker.
Advice: before updating MSFS2020 alway make the community folder empty. With addon_linker easily done. After that update you may set the links back to the community folder.

Make presets in the addon_linker for resusing links.

Succes and happy landings.
