I recently installed MSFS2024 and noticed that there is an option in the Controls section to use the MSFS2020 Keyboard bindings (“Keyboard 2020 Transversal” and “Keyboard 2020 Planes”) that I was familiar with already.
I made the mistake of renaming these MSFS2020 bindings to something else (instead of creating a duplicate first and renaming it) and now those MSFS2020 bindings are not there anymore.
I did some research and saw a CMD prompt that reads as follows:
This command is supposed to delete all the custom bindings, which is OK for me as I want to start over anyway. But will it bring back the MSFS2020 Keyboard bindings (noted above) that I inadvertently deleted when in MSFS2024?
If this topic is already resolved somewhere else, please point me in the right direction, as I did not anything like this in the Forums.
Make sure you’ve definitely selected Keyboard and not a joystick; the Keyboard 2020 Transversal profile only shows up when the keyboard is selected.
I know it might sound funny, but sometimes people accidentally select a different device and then look for a profile there.
Instead of creating a new post. How come if I choose the keyboard for 2020 in 2024 the keys still don’t function as they do in 2020. Any recommended ways to fix that?
OK, so I did check and you are correct - the Keyboard control now shows the “Keyboard 2020 Transversal” setting. Thank you for that.
As a footnote, is there such a thing as a “Mouse 2020 Transversal” profile? This I do not see and I wonder if the Mouse 2024 Transversal setting will be the same as to what I had in MSFS2020. BTW, I did not change any of the default settings in MSFS2020; I simply used the mouse bindings “as is”.
