I am struggeling to understand the UI and where to find certain options and features.
How do you actually see other players in the game? (multiplayer).
In the settings,
->General-> Online: I have selected Multiplayer ON.
->Graphics->Global Rendering Quality-> Air Traffic: Off/Low/Medium/High/Ultra (WHAT?)
In flight Conditions I have Live Weather ON, Air traffic OFF, Multiplayer: All Players/Live players ON (it seems to revert back to Live players)
In the Controls settings, I have enabled the Display Players ON (as well as the toggle).
However those dont seem to work either.
What on earth is this confusing mess?
I hope I am wrong about the location of these settings and what they do, this is insanity.
Maybe I am wrong but it seems like you have to enable Air Traffic, which you find under graphics and global rendering quality to either Low/Medium/High/Ultra.
And you have the same term “Air Traffic” in the flight conditions which does something else.
Also it seems very inconsistent of when its showing other players around you in game and on the map before starting…
To be honest the whole UI and functionality seems to be really bad and counterintuitive.
Where do you even find any info about how to see other players. The only place I see a reference to other players is in the Flight Conditions regarding Live players, which ironically doesnt even seem to work correctly.
On the world map screen, let’s say you zoomed in at an airport, do you see other players plane icons? It could be cloud servers still loading aircraft textures when ingame
My point is, it seems like you are required to enable Air Traffic, to either low/medium/high/ultra in the graphics, global rendering section, which by the way mentions nothing about other players in the description.
Can someone confirm this? Or test it? Maybe its just me losing my mind.
I’ll have to check my settings later, because I think it’s working for me. How do I know? Because I watched a sail plane just casually taxiing around a non-glider airport the other day, which tells me the bad model matching is still a thing. Lol
You should see both Multiplayer-airplanes, as well as Live without having this settings on (if its same as in FS20). I have Live traffic ON and Multiplayer ON, and I see noone else in the game. I have seen ONE person since I installed it the day after release day. ONE person.
Of the top of my head… because I saw this setting in options: make sure in the control settings at multiplayer you don’t have a button that toggles off the multiplayer show other players.
