How to set up controller for walk-around?

I need help:

How can I do the walk around at the beginning of a flight in VR?
I can look around with my headset on, but the only way I found to move is with the keyboard keys W-A-S-D (or similar), like in a first person shooter.

The problem: with the headset on, I don’t see the keyboard, so this results in a lot of fumbling around.

Are there commands I can assign to a coolie hat on my joystick, for example?
Thanks in advance!

Take look at this I think he mentions you can configure it for a yoke with top hats also. Should be able to I think.

I’ve found that the Quest 3 controllers default to some settings that allow walkarounds. The left stick will move you around and the right grip makes you squat. I’ve been trying to program the right stick to turn me left and right but haven’t found the correct axis to program. The labels are very confusing. Rotate X axis looks correct but doesn’t do it. I have been able to rotate my view using the mouse holding a right click and panning, so the workaround so far is to use my left Touch controller to strafe and the mouse to pan. It works but not great.
