I have no idea what to search for for this subject, so, I’m asking the question…
It used to be you could set up different planes in the hanger, IOW, organize them by type, by changing the ui_type field in the aircraft.cfg file.
I just tried this with the DC-3 and no go. Even though the ui_type is being changed, it’s all going to the same plane.
Given all the configurations available for the DC-3, Passenger and Cargo, with Classic and Modern for each, I was hoping to split them up so I could not flood a single plane with liveries of different types. But changing the UI_type to DC-3, DC-3 Modern, C-47, C-47 Modern as appropriate didn’t work. They still all end up under Douglas DC-3
Any other ideas other than splitting up the models and editing/copying config files all over the place to get it to work?
What in the Aircraft.cfg file triggers a new plane now?
Funny how there are some things I wish they kept from FSX.
