So far I have purchased my addons through the Microsoft store as I thought this would mean everything was simpler as it would avoid things being installed into the Common folder and everything would automatically just update as necessary.
However, I am starting to see the value of purchasing items directly from other vendors and wondered, in these cases, how do these get updated? Is it a case of remembering what I have installed and regularly checking for updates and manually updating them? Does this get more complicated if I have a number of items from different suppliers?
I am also trying to keep items in my common folder to an absolute minimum as I understand this it better all round for stability and performance etc, so where do 3rd party items install to? do they go into the Common folder? presumably I would then need to identify them and not remove them when not being used?
