I have Salty b47, which appears as “installed” in Content Manager and flightsim’s b747, which is "not installed’ .
Neither of these appears in my hangar - how can I get at least the Salty mode that is “installed” in content manager to choose and fly?
The Salty 747 goes on top of the default 747. If you load in the default 747, you can check the FMC to see if it says something about Salty.

Do you mean you have uninstalled the Asobo B747? This package is required for the addon to work.
I meant to say it says “uninstalled” in Content Manager:-)
I put the .zip file into Community, just as I did with Salty.

@FlagrantHorse48, you have to unzip it first, MSFS doesn’t do that step for you. At least I don’t think it does, if so I’ve been doing a whole lot of unzipping for no reason!
Well, it probably does sometimes:-) as it shows “installed” for salty mod.
I will unzip the one from Flightsim.
I wonder: will it not make a dreadful mess in the Community folder? Or do I need to unzip into an extra folder for each airplane?

The FMC says “model 747-8i” - is this the Salty mod?
@FlagrantHorse48 Go to my Discord server (KevyKevTPA's MSFS Hangout), and download the aircraft database file. In there is a link to a file manager to keep your Community folder nice and clean, and very easy to deal with.

There is something wrong, I get a message to verify my email address with a password. I don’t even know to what the password should be? To discord? - I don’t have any profile there, never heard of discord before

You got that message from Discord? I’ve never even heard of such a thing, can you try grabbing a screenshot? For what it’s worth, my Server says you joined at 3:12AM NYC time, so maybe it does mean a Discord password, but since you’re a newbie you don’t realize that you actually created one? Is there a “forgot password” option?
It’s in Polish: “Invalid invitation” , it says that it either expired or that I don’t have the right to join etc.
And then I can just click “Discord” where I don’t have an account.
How to enclose the screenshot??
@FlagrantHorse48 I think you do have a discord login, even if you don’t realize it. Like I said, the user roster in my Server shows you as being a member.
So let’s try this. Go here: Download Discord to Talk, Chat, and Hang Out and download the Windows app (or whatever OS you use, which since you use MSFS I imagine is windows.) Try logging in with your email, and then click “forgot password”. If you use the same password for a lot of places (which you really shouldn’t do, and I can show you a password manager to use to make that unnecessary), you can try that, but if that doesn’t work, then try the forgot password link. Once it resets your password, try logging in (on the app you just downloaded, not in a browser), and you should see my face (same pic I use here, with my adorable puppy who isn’t really a puppy) on the left which is where my server is.
Once you are to the point where you see my face, then you’re golden. Just click on my face, go to the #aircraft-database Text Channel, and download the file.
Don’t worry about screenshots until you’ve tried all this. I’m 99% sure this will work, if not then one way or another, we’ll figure it out. Maybe we can use MS Teams and you can share your screen with me, or even give me remote control. But that’s step two, this is step one, so let’s try it first.
