I solved this, and virtually eliminated having to interact with the screen, with a mouse, to control the plane, by using a Screen Deck XL.
I can set up multiple pages, and control most of the aircraft functions from the Deck, as well as seeing what panel instruments are set to.
It is 100% configurable, with multiple selectable setup screens, and has made flying significantly less “MOUSE FRUSTRATING”
For example if I short press COM1, it toggles the Standby Freq.
If I long press the COM1, I get a COM1 tuning page.
Its a Game changer.
Notice on 1st Screen, I have 100% AP control, as well as feedback as to what the AP is set to, and how the Plane is flying.
There are many other possible ways to achieve this …but for simplicity and flexibility (and fixed cost), I chose the Stream Deck as my solution.
