How to Use Microphone in Quest3 or System Microphone when in Discord in Aussi Group Flight

I had trouble today getting my microphone to work in an Aussi Group flight using VR for the first time. I could hear other player alright in Discord but they could not hear me. I did not find any help on the subject but seems to me that you should be able to use the same input as regular Discord but my usual microphone did not work. Maybe there is a Quest setting that trumps the Windows settings?

NOTE: On the Aussi Group said need to go into discord audio settings, which i did and was on system mike, of which there is none, all in my BENQ Monitor. Will see if setting to that fixes the problem.

Check if you have:
Microphone access - On
Let apps access your microphone - On
Discord - On

As you can see in the screenshot above, I don’t have Discord installed. If I did, it would be marked as “On” next to Discord.

Thanks, very interesting. There is even a log of requests. It was on OK. There was another problem, the internal Discord settings.

I have a flight today where i will test this but the Aussi’s informed me to check the Discord settings, which like Zoon, have their own audio settings and device selection. For some reason the default was the Win system but I do not have a separate microphone attached to my gaming computer. Rather I have a high end (BENQ) graphics calibrated monitor that includes a speaker system and mike, I selected that and will see if it works.

This is very tricky for me as I have three very separate computers in my home office (two for work and one personal for gaming and astrophotography).

NOTE: Worked fine with the Discord changes.
