HP Reverb G2 - worked yesterday - today only WMR - no MSFS visuals!

All new setup with ASUS Prebuilt PC with 3080, Intel i7-11700KF, 16GB RAM.

Took my time setting up the PC and headset, installing all the updates, testing as I went. It was working yesterday but today when entering VR mode (Win-Y) all I see is the Windows Mixed Reality desktop - no MSFS visuals - but I get MSFS audio.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled headset, flight sim, xbox app, and spent 4 hours with no luck.

Gotta say VR has been a real letdown… $2500 and nothing works.

Suggestions?

The default key combination to enter VR mode from 2D in MSFS2020 is Ctrl-Tab. Give that a try, unless you’ve changed the default key combination.
