Lately I experience a strange situation where I would start a flight with for example the Bae 146 (or any airliner) and my frames (NVidia Panel) would be well around the 40 - then inflight up to 50 or more.
Then, the more I approach the destination the frames start to wildly jump and go down to hover maybe at 10 - 25 but with very frequent hickups - and when landing it is basically a slide show.
Now, imagine this with a brand new top-of-the line comp (AMD 7800X3D, 64 GB DDR, Top-SSD, NVidia 4070. My VRAM is hovering at around 80% used.
NVIdia Framegeneration is ON.
With such a rig I should get top performance. And I don’t even have the settings at ULTRA - nono- I carefully tuned it a bit down.
This is madness no? A 2020 Sim that bogs down a late 2023 comp to a slide show? What am I missing here? Did Asobo mess up again?
No Asobo has not messed up. Evidently you have an issue within your system somewhere. I would suggest you start troubleshooting by emptying your community folder. Limit background apps that are running as well. You are going to have to do a bit of troubleshooting. Also what are your traffic settings like? There are so many variables.
This is a KNOWN and documented bug since SU14. Frame Generation has completely been bugged. Even if you turn FG on, then off in the menu, it CTD with the “graphics” bug pop-up.
We’ve also had several document the FG and it’s stutters and shakiness where at this point, on a 4090, i9-13900k, using frame gen is nearly pointless since SU14 launched.
OP - please vote here, the more votes the more Asobo will see this and fix it.
Regarding Traffic I normally use FSLTL and what’s strange is that these issues are not from the beginning of a flight - it seems to creep up over time and peaks prior landing
