Hmm, not sure about this. “Some” is an undefined value. And a very vague value at that: pretty much anything more than “none” and anything less than “all” qualifies. The reason why I specifically used that is because I really have no idea how many or what percentage of users have which issues. So I will stand by my original comment.
Again: not sure about this or even if it is directed at my post. FWIW I specifically clarified what I use the game/sim for in my original post and again I stand by what I said. To further clarify my experience, I am absolutely not speaking for anybody else, but MY reality is that:
- I bought, downloaded and installed the program without issues
- When I loaded the program it worked.
- Since then I have not had one program crash
- With the subsequent patches I have had only one issue: when loading the program upon the release of the latest patch I had an “Insert disk” message. Backed out of the program, reloaded and got the patch.
- As for flight planning: there are VERY definite and VERY significant deficiencies, even for my simple use case, hence I use LNM. An example: you have no control over the sequence of added custom waypoints. The reality is that the flight planner is extremely basic and in my opinion not adequate. Again: that is why I use LNM, as I stated in my original post.
- I have not had any significant control issues after connecting and mapping my MS FFB 2 joystick and adjusting the sensitivity.
- I have not had any significant flight dynamics issues with the aircraft I use.
- I have not had any significant issues with the AP on the aircraft I use.
- I have not had issues with (the admittedly small number of) ILS approaches that I have done
- I have had flights not logged. The program’s behaviour in this regard is definitely quirky at best. If you follow the apparent requirements (that are not spelled out in the program as far as I can see) it does, however, seem to work at least somewhat OK.
Yes, I have had some “operator errors”: I cannot fault the program for that.
Thanks for this. I have been tabbing to LNM and that has been working fine for me but I will look into this.
Again: not wanting to be a “fanboy”, just describing my personal experiences.
