It can break just fine just doing VFR low flying. I love the game but have no problem criticizing it as well. Since I started my world tour 83 days ago, I’ve had to restart the game 46 times (I write it down in my notes) for various reasons, although mostly straight up CTDs lately. Maybe that’s good for a PC game, but yep it still crashes every other day on average.
Beside the performance issues, map data is all over the place. Some places are stunning, some are an awful mess. Far from ideal for VFR.
However, for me, every day it delivers and I can’t stop playing. All the issues I’ve encountered have either been solved by the community or I found a workaround to bypass or mitigate them. I still fear the next patch, the most recent one is the only one that didn’t break anything for me and actually fixed some things. A couple more good patches and maybe I’ll start looking forward to updates instead of dreading them!
Another awesome flight this morning in which I almost broke my record for most airports stopped at in a single day. 53 airports visited today, touring Botswana mostly. About 8 hours total flight time with one CTD and some messed up height data (Don’t bother going to Victoria Falls)
