I’m currently flying the Kodiak under bright blue skies of Glasgow when all of the sudden I got a popup saying I received the Hydroplaning Achievement 
Anyone know why?
Because achievements are meaningless and have been horribly broken since launch. Some can’t be completed. Others will pop up as complete when you’re not even in the correct circumstances to receive it, as you witnessed with that one.
One example I remember specifically was getting one achievement (I can’t remember the name of the offhand) for landing on a grass strip. I received it at 10000 feet over the Mediterranean on descent to Djibouti.
