Hype Performance Group & Developer David Amenta - Airbus H135 Helicopter

SUCCESS ! Thanks Mario. I think the thing I was doing wrong is, After I unzipped the download, I extracted it to my Desktop. When I clicked on the extracted file , it showed me another H-135 file. I loaded the second file in D:Microsoft Flight Simulator\ Community and it worked fine. I think the trick is to install the second H-135 file after you extract it from the ZIP . Thanks so much for all of your assistance. Now I have to try and Fly this thing lololol …

Kudos to the developers giving us this freeware aircraft!

good to hear !
i noticed that with unzipping zip files, it tends to create an additional folder, so many times i have to go a level deep to get to the correct folder to copy to the community folder.

enjoy the heli and all the awesomeness it brings to the game like hovering and landing where no planes dare to land.

Today, I did I multiplayerflight with a friend. He flew the DA40 and I the H135. At our frist attempt he saw my model as an helicopter, that was nice. Next flight, he saw a hovering Cessna. We both haven’t changed any settings between the two flights. By the way: my friend never had the H135 in his community folder… What could happend?

It is interesting that so few report the issue of the helicopter being seen by other players as a 172. It seems that as long as you have the H135 installed on your sim, you will see helicopters as helicopters. As to why this sometimes does not happen is a great question.

Hey Mark, I wanted to let you know I finally got H-135 to install. my problem was that I was trying to install the first Extracted Zip file into the Community . I didnt know there was another H-135 folder inside the 1st extracted Folder. It might be wise to explain that in the Installation instructions. Or it may be I don’t know enough about these computer games and add-ons as I would like to.
Thanks again for your efforts. Now I need to find out how to set up my Airbus 320 Stick Controller  :grinning:

Afaik, you need installed helicopter and same livery to see other user’s helicopter model.
Also default substitute model is not 172, but a Bonanza or something like that.

the same I thought… but like I mentioned, my friend has never installed a helicopter, but he saw it at our first flight…seems that MSFS has already a helicopter modell inside, but doesn’t shows it reliable?

a question…

does the mod create for all users an extra folder outside of the community folder ?

1 - I put the h135 mod into the Community folder : Packages\Community\hpg-airbus-h135
2 - I start MSFS ( UPDATE : and do a first flight with the H135 )
3 - somehwat creates a new folder Packages\hpg-airbus-h135 with some files ( .dll, cache, … )

( Steam )

Seems dangerous in case of removal of the mod, or ?

Is these kind of folder correct ?

Is there a way to dim cockpit gauges and touch screens in the H135? At night they are way too bright and wash out the rest of the cockpit

Is it me or ETL for 0.90 became a lot weaker? IGE seems better but ETL feels non-existant now.>

Anyone else found the same?

I dont have that, I have the community folder, the official folder and nothing else. My H-135 folder and files is inside the community folder

I think its supposed to be slightly better in 0.90 but still pretty weak and needs work.

you have Steam as well ?

These additional folder is created first time I use the H135 in-game ( former I described it not exact enough ).

Content is like:

No, I have the disk version. Only just noticed the (steam) line in your post. What happens if you delete that new folder?

hmmm… maybe it’s then a Steam vs MS-Store thing…

I only ask because I have to remove both folder in case I want remove/update the mod. Not sure whether this additional folder can have negative side-effects in case users forget to remove it

will be re-created if I use the H135 again

Hmm. Does it overwrite those files with each new session? If so, I guess its not too much of an issue when updating the 135 but if it doesnt, it could be.

I have’nt tested it… I allways remove both folders in case I update/remove the mod.

At the moment I also would not say it’s a issue… was more for interesst and to mention it
On other side I thought that a mod should not be allowed to leave the /community level, because security.

It might be an idea to ask Davus3 on discord about the security side of this new folder. He can probably shed some light on it.

possible I also missunderstood what you meant with session.

The folder is one time created and files get no new update-timestamp in e.g. a second, third start of MSFS and H135 flight. I only not know what happens in case new mod version

think I need an account
