I don’t care if things aren’t perfect. I don’t care if others think I’m stupid. I don’t care what anyone says about me or my love for this sim.
I will just continue to load it up daily and fly around. Maybe an hour, maybe half an hour, maybe 3 or 4 hours… I’ll be flying, I’ll be enjoying it, and sometimes ( a lot of times ) I’ll be in awe of it.
No I think it’s lovely. The game is exactly right for this person and I’m pleased it’s hit that spot. I am of the opposite persuasion and am still waiting for something, anything, resembling a WOW factor.
A good start but let me really get the ball rolling.
God you must be blind. It’s awful, blah, blah. Nothing works, blah blah. Should never have been released within the next 5 years, blah, blah. Its a game not a flight sim, blah, blah.
X-plane default is much better, blah, blah
Please insert all posts from the ‘x-plane has nothing to worry about’ thread (here)
OK, job done. That’s enough, no further similar posts need be added.
Edit addition:
But nevertheless, put on flack jacket, helmet, gas mask, NBC suit, load up, dig in, keep head down, ar*e tucket in, the fanboy attackers will be coming soon.
I am a fangirl, please don’t tell anyone.
At the one who hid my post - how’s that for on-topic and humour?
I’ve been playing XP only since a year after converting from FSX.
I’ve been complaining (and still do) about the sensitivity issues of MSFS.
I’ve recently tried out XP again to check Vulkan.
With all the complaining, I came to the conclusion that I can’t go back. No matter the lack of complex aircraft at the moment. VFR just looks so much better on MSFS + the flight dynamics feel like P3D rails after playing MSFS. They got it right. Turbulence was a little too much, but I feel like it got improved with the last patch.
Takes me 5 mins to load, game runs ggreat, yeah there are bugs with the AP for the airliners but it’s usually near landing/approach for me, I can just do that manually
they’ll fix it eventually. Nothing to worry about, however it is upsetting that things don’t just work 100% yet, but that’s to be expected no?
@Strixx001349 took the words right out of my mouth! I am continually amazed at this never-ending topic of discussion, and the variety of OPs that set it off. It really is a classic case of how almost every issue in life lies on a mean-distribution shaped curve, say from 1 at the left to 10 at the right, in this case 10 being the absolute lovers of the Sim and 1 being the absolute haters. The thing is, there is no right or wrong, and we all have to be tolerant of each others views and feelings. Where you are on the spectrum depends on so many different factors, eg if you can fly the sim at all, how and what you fly, what priority you give to different aspects of the sim, how bugs affect you, your tolerance for bugs etc etc etc. One thing for sure in my case, I am really enjoying it but at the same time I am very well aware of, and surprised and disappointed by, the very large number of bugs and missing features that I wish would be fixed more quickly and that the mean of the distribution curve would move more quickly toward 10. God, I can only imagine how I would feel if I could not play at all!!! I also wish that discussion on all this remains civil to all concerned, lovers, haters and developers. I think the best strategy at this point is to hit that crazy zendesk system with as many reports, votes etc as possible and, if you must express an emotion or feeling, be civil at all times. Maybe also remember that civil venting by people expressing strong emotions and feelings is not necessarily a bad thing - in fact it may even spur the developers on more quickly to bigger and better things! Cheers.
Nothing wrong with your opinion at all. I’m glad there are people genuinely happy with what they have, and I hope others feel this way too.
I happen to be less enthusiastic, though still optimistic. And that’s ok too.
Unfortunately there is a small but vocal subset of each side, that cannot comprehend their opinion is not gospel. They will adamantly defend their point of view, attacking everything else they don’t believe.
It is a very promising platform built for future with hooks that aren’t even there in other sims; saying it is a generation ahead wont be an exaggeration and it will stabilize. No amount of testing can model such a bewildering variety of user systems, actual load on the worldwide servers not just at MS but integrating partners for weather and AI traffic. It is both scale and complexity that no other sim out there caters for or has on its horizon.
MS could’ve done a better job to get basics right but, let us see what happens over next six months to a year. We’ve already had two patch releases less than a month into its first release, so rest assured, people are listening (maybe not acknowledging) and working to make it a great product.
