I own a gaming desktop PC with Windows 11. I got the Standard MSFS edition on Day One (18 August 2021, I believe) for $1 with a Game Pass offer. A few months later, I cancelled the monthly Game Pass membership and purchased the Standard Edition game outright. Now, when I look in the XBox App, if I click on Library then on Games I Own, I see three images of MSFS all labelled ‘Installed.’ Is there a good reason for this? And which one would be the most complete?
I never owned a console as I’ve never used any of the available computer games, I bought a gaming PC strictly for better Flight Simulator performance. I suppose Xbox ended up in my PC because I used Game Pass to try MSFS. Is the Xbox app required only for console users? Now that I own the game, do I still need to have the Xbox app in my PC ?
Thanks for any help with this.
Curious all three images are different:
- Standard, Yellow bars, “game of the year”
- Standard, Blue bars, not “game of the year”
- not Standard but Yellow bars, “game of the year”
The solitaire seems to be a ring in.
Interesting question which I have as well. Could one of the three be the digital license?
As far as the Xbox app is concerned it was definitely needed before WU6 could be installed on none steam pc’s. I’d leave it well alone. There’s more than enough that can wrong with the sim updates already, best not to encourage problems
