First of all I have to say that I have the PC version of MSFS (not the steam version, but the MS Store version), and it is something that I can not regret more. I have different issues, and this is one of them: I can not use properly Logitech Gaming Sofware because I can not associate the exe of the game. LGS needs to choose an exe file and MSFS does not use any, or it is hidden. I have read that the exe of MSFS is protected and I can not access to it. I don´t want to make anything that can make any danger to my computer of this game.
This is the 1st game that I can not do this. This is my first MS Store game and this is the last one.
Defaul .exe directory
c:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.20.6.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\
LGS says that I dont have permissions to open flightsimulator.exe located in c:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.20.6.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\
This is ridiculous.
Thansk for the information. But I really prefer not to change that folder. I did it in the past and as a result I had to uninstall and install again. Microsoft Store games don’t install like other games (they don’t use a folder, and just a folder) and that problem to access the exe implies many problems with external applications.
I waited a couple of weeks in the hope that the price of MSFS was the same price in Steam and MS Store, but it didn’t happen, and I comited an error buying the MS Store version just to save 10 euro. Now I am paying that error.
People have different problems after “taking ownership” of the MSFS folder. So that is not the solution to make my hardware compatible (drivers of joysticks, mouse, etc that need to access to the exe of the game).
I am thinking on uninstalling this game. I don’t feel safe with a program that is “hidden” and don’t even let me access to the data that is intalled in my own computer. Why should I trust what the program do? Should I trust someone that enters in my house with the face covered?
