one of the things I noticed first about PG was when flying over Niagara Falls - the buildings all had TWO shadows. One from the satellite image and one from the sim based on the virtual sunlight direction.
Sim time of day was 3:15 pm February - the satellite image shadow season and TOD are unknown but the difference was about 35deg offset. They were about the same length.
