When you land at the airport of destination you choose. It will be great if it will be a possible to take a virtual bus tour at the city, and see some of the city and slso people. It will make it more realistic. The player can build a story, it’s much better.
Just integrate the game seamlessly with Cities Skylines and job done.
For that more authentic experience integrate it either with Disneyworld for the kids, or Doom 3 for the adults, all the while plotting how to take out the Thargoid Interceptor inevitably waiting for you when you take off.
If you taxi through your average photogrammetry city at ground level, you might not be so keen.
People though could be doable. I have the TNCM addon, and there are people on the beach waving, and some walking around. It could be done. As long as it is something we could disable if we didn’t want it. Extra details like this, potentially slowing it down further may not be well received.
Sounds like a great idea, but MSFS is just a “flight simulator” after all, not a world travel simulator. To feel like I’m really traveling I just use Google Earth or Street View to take a virtual walking tour on the streets of the city I land in. I research the place on Wikipedia and look at some photos to add depth.
I agree that the OP‘s suggestion is over the top but I have to admit I‘d find it rather cool to have animated passengers boarding the plane and an avatar mode at some point. I even wouldn‘t mind a gamey feature such as driving from the airport building to the aircraft and boarding it. I know, it‘s absolutely unnecessary and there are loads of more important things to do first, but why not, sometime in the more distant future?
I’ll agree. All one has to do is take the drone down to street level to take a good look. Yeah, from the air, it looks pretty good. But close up, not so much…
