I downloaded a bunch of liveries for the models to use for live traffic. I see them parked at the airports but nothing moves. I watched KLAX for about two hours and I only saw about three planes total and I have spotted at other airports with the same results. I thought that the latest update was going to improve live traffic not make it worse. Is there a way to just get live traffic from another source but use the models in msfs? I thought by downloading more liveries I would see more movement but that is not the case. I don’t want to use psx because it’s too confusing and I am not sure it does what I want. I appreciate all the people making liveries but if they don’t move then they are just nice eye candy.
Check your Graphics settings, make sure AI traffic is Not using Generic models.
If I’m not sadly mistaken, the AI traffic files only use the models that come with the sim. That means that it’s only going to look for liveries that it knows it can select. You would need to use a third party AI traffic manager to see them in the air.
Nope, that’s not it. If you have a custom model that you want to use, you just need to configure the Aircraft.cfg for it to be able to be used as an AI traffic. As long as those configurations are properly setup, the sim will use them when they get a matching ICAO Aircraft designator code with the Live Traffic.
Now, it depends on what liveries that OPs downloaded and how they are actually setup. For me, I don’t use third-party models. I only use the default A320 models because that’s where most available liveries are for. And the sim already has the A320 setup for Air Traffic.
So I manually disable all the generic air traffic in the game files, and Force the sim to use the default A320 as the generic aircraft.
Then I just match all the liveries with the proper ICAO Airline code, and the sim will always use the A320 model regardless of what their actual aircraft is in the real world. Then it spawns the A320 with a matching livery. All of this, while I set my Air Traffic to use Generic Models.

can i use the ABS-B program to just generate live traffic because I can’t get PSX to work no matter what I do. I just want to see accurate live traffic even if has to be all A320’s.
