I know this seems like a small thing . . . but

. . . while flying around my local area, and having had the dreaded autopilot freakout (saved it though), I decided to head back to the Cobb County airport here in Georgia. On my way, I decided to fly over my house again, because that NEVER gets old. Then I noticed something . . .

The local businesses actually have their signs on the buildings. Lowes, Home Depot, Target (sign clearly says “Super Target”), Kroger, and even Kohl’s. All of the signs are easy to read at a low enough altitude.

Yes, some people (like me) are easily amused, but that was a huge bonus discovery for me.

If it’s wrong to love a flight simulator . . . I don’t want to be right.

No it’s quite impressive… same for our area where there is a RONA (equivalent to Home Depot)

Was also impressed that the dirt bike track behind the house in the woods was also picked up in good detail. Sometimes it’s the small things that count, but when flying VFR that’s the whole point is to be able to pick up the visual references.
So good job their MSFS team. :+1:
