I love it, but a few items for improvement

First, I’m loving the game. It feels amazing. The flight models and scenery are incredible. That said, it is new and there are a few things I’d like to see added.

  1. Add “No cockpit” POV mode: In some instances I’d like the screen to just be the view without the instruments/cockpit. Maybe there’s a way to do this, but I haven’t found it.

  2. Add splash Screen: When I click the icon to open FS2020, there’s about 10-15 seconds where it seems like nothing is happening. A little splash screen would be nice to know that the engine is starting, so to speak.

  3. Add More detail on the location selection map: If you’re trying to place your aircraft at a specific place in the world, zooming in provides very little detail. I find myself guessing a lot, or going to google maps and getting the lat and long and plugging them into the map.

  4. Adding Replays. I know it’s being worked on. This game would be make such great use of it with the gorgeous visuals! I’d love to be able to rewatch and appreciate an awesome landing or an incredible feat from a different POV.

  5. AI Tree placement on shadowed mountains: AI seems to struggle to put trees on the side of mountains where the satellite imagery is shaded. Not sure anything can be done about this as obviously it lacks detail, but there ends up being weird open areas with no trees so maybe there is an algorithm that can be added to guess that these areas should be full of trees.

  6. Roads that cut into terrain to remain flat horizontally: Just a small thing, but a road on the side of a mountain currently is just slanted to match the terrain. You can tell by the texture that the game knows there is a road there. Just thinking it might be possible in the future to flatten the roads to be more realistic. Just a nitpick though!

  7. Simulation Rate Feedback:I’ve been using the simulation rate to speed up time when I want to get somewhere. Unfortunately there is no feedback as to what the simulation rate currently is. You just have to look outside and kind of guess. Visual message onscreen that says 1.0x or 2.0x would be great!
