I love the new water colors in FS24

One thing I am impressed by in the new sim is all the varied water colors. It has its obvious flaws but I think its really great. There is everything from muddy waters like the Mississippi River often is to ponds of various colors and not long ago I took off across the Chesapeake Bay and it was an exact match for looks that bay sometimes gets. Heres just a few examples:
Florida - not far from Orlando:

Galveston Texas area:

Chesapeake Bay Bridge:

Grand Canyon:

New Orleans:

I found this in the Florida Keys (Tavernier?). I think its a Heron:

and just for the heck of it: (an RKBridger bridge I believe with New Orleans in the distance:

Yes! Although they’re not everywhere, a lot of inland waterways have appropriate colouring now. Really adds to the immersion.

And generally, the river tech is much more realistic. Haven’t seen any OSM style straight line rivers so far in 2024.

Underrated improvement! I’ve encountered a lot of interesting water colors that prompted me to look the area up on satellite and figure out why it was that color (chemicals and/or minerals at play, typically.)
