After dipping my toe in with a Quest 2 I went ahead and got a Reverb G2 and a Next Level Gaming Flight Simulator cockpit with the Logitech yoke, throttle and pedals.
HOLY MACKEREL!! Fulfilled a long held personal goal today, flew nonstop LAX to LGA IFR in a Citation Longitude, 5 hours and a successful but not good landing.
Unbelievable. Also listened to Audiobook to help pass the time.

How is the G2 in comparison?
I’m worried my GTX 1070 would struggle and the Quest 2 setup has been so smooth.
The G2 is great. Instruments so much more readable. Everything is smoother and sharper than the Quest 2.
My computer settings are the same basically so I assume what works for the Q2 should work for the G2? I don’t know for sure though.
Only other thing is I had a custom head strap for the Q2 where the weight of the headset rested on top of my head and kept the pressure off my face, it was super comfy. The stock G2 fitting has the headset pressed against my face. Less comfy, more sweaty. Though I haven’t looked into any custom G2 stuff yet. Not sure what’s available.
Get the G2 from somewhere with a good return policy and save the receipt!
I think the Q2 has an airflow fan, does the G2?
