They released FS2024 as a completely separate sim rather than an in-place upgrade to FS2020. With many apps and games (Windows, Office, etc) the new version over-writes the old version. And, as many of us know, 2024 needs a bunch more time in the oven.
I am so thankful I can still use FS2020 this long weekend!
