My simulator is running so slow. I try to use the mouse in the dev part to deactivate those red LOD stuff and it is not working. I am getting 2.7 fps even the menu’s are slow. Any help?
Looks like ‘mainthread’ limited which would suggest your CPU is thinking about something else, you might want to pop open task manager and see who else is running.
XP 11 runs fine. But MSFS does not run more than 4fps.
Does your pc meet atleast the minimum spec recommended for this sim?
if so what are your specs.
In task manager is there anything else that is putting a heavy load on your CPU?
Have you tried turning vsync off?
It was working fine. I reinstalled the game. I download the game of the year one (standard version). Maybe downloaded the wrong version?
What was the reason for re-install?
But with your specs its definitely not right that it’s getting fps that low.
Sounds silly but have you tried it with render scaling set at 100 in sim
move the 2 lod sliders to 100 if not already need to reduce load on cpu as with cpu usage that high the mainthread is definitely maxed out. hence your first screenshot.
I reinstalled it because I want it to move it to a different drive and want to download a fresh copy. It does fine until I choose the plane and airport once start loading it goes from 200 fps to 1 or 2 fps. Something is broken in the game. I think the game is not picking up the GPU and the CPU is bottlenecking. I tried XP11 and it is running at 60 fps. I will try to reinstall one more time .

I think you might have clicked on something in the dev mode that you shouldn’t have

Win10 or Win11 ? And have you checked your GPU driver ? Is it the latest version ? MSFS was modified recently to support it, maybe it is required for your board… and stop reinstalling things, useless effort.
(also I wonder what takes 43% of your CPU… your CPU load shows larger that the CPU taken by MSFS)
Everything up to date. The fact that XP11 is working fine I assume is something with MSFS.

I know but too late. I see what’s wrong with the system after I finish running the game again.
