What Day One Promised features are missing? Marketplace, I guess? What are some others?
What interface bugs? My tail number doesn’t actually change when I change it, so … I guess that counts? What are some others?
Even if everyone went back to 2020 their boss (Microsoft) would continue making their 30% cut off the marketplace. This last year I’ve spent $4000 in the marketplace, so they’ve made $1200.
Of course, now that I can see the writing on the wall (gamification means fewer resources devoted to the base sim, both for 2020 and 2024), I’ll be switching to xplane on linux when AMD comes out with a video card with 32gb of vram at a “reasonable” price point. Better multiple window support (Asobo has said multiple windows is done, so ain’t gonna happen in 2024), and many things that were promised for 2020 still aren’t there years later, so I figure 2 more years on 2020, then buh-bye bubba!
It’s a business - one run by the diktats of Microsoft’s marketing timetable. We see the resulting enshittification. And long term, we have options.

Seeing same thing - very high end pc with 4080 super oc on a very fast internet connection
Servers are not good melted trees - buildings etc. everywhere - map in efb is also blurry - fps low and laggy game play
Serious issues with slow servers - I do luv how it looks and hope they can fix all of these issues
When did they say that?
Tobii eye tracker. Cessna 172 electrical issues. Floating AI aircraft. Etc etc. I mean just go check the bug forums if you wanna see the hundreds of bugs.

I guess they don’t deal with server problems on weekends. They take a good rest, like those who did their job well. In other areas of life, they also work on weekends and holidays if there is a problem.

I see no meme. I simply asked when they said that about pop out windows. If you’re trying to be funny, you’ve failed.
This is where I see that most of the blame sits. Look to other failed games being pumped out by MS in the last few years. Starfield, Redfall etc., that have all fallen foul of having company execs and shareholder priorites pushed onto dev teams who know thats not the product that they want to make, not the product they have experience developing and not the product that the consumer wants to buy.
I think the team at Asobo have had the Azure/Cloud streaming guff forced onto Flight Simulator from above because MS want to get out of the console manufacturing market and purely into a subscription based gaming service, regardless of what Phil Spencer and others at Xbox say. I reference the recent ‘This is an Xbox’ ad campaign and putting Xbox exclusive titles on Playstation as evidence that they want to get out of the unprofitable and expensive console wars completely.
Unfortunately for us, Flight Simulator has become something of a sacrificial lamb to that plan, no doubt thinking it would be the perfect platform and franchise to show off how good cloud streaming really is and how its the future of gaming.
Steam refused my refund request last night as I had too much playtime despite it being mostly loading screen. Quite surprised frankly and rather annoyed.

It is relatively easy. Just duplicate an existing one, then with the gear option, choose “clear”. Need to do this for general and airplane and possibly specific if there are any of those.
I use AAO rather than Spad but its the same approach, use a blank making and then map externally via AAO/Spad. I do map view controls via the sim as i keep these standard across all aircraft.

Ever actually thought about the possibility that Jörg and Seb are right and it is great, but were pushed by MS higher ups to release it prematurely and with server issues present holding it all back still? Before we don’t know what exactly happened, we can’t possibly accuse them for ‘scamming’ us.
Or just select the new profile you made and assign it as default…

Ahhh, other than the Tobii thing, those aren’t interface bugs.
And FWIW, my TrackIR works fine.
