This page seems to be a list of things that you can do to improve performance. Turning off PG, for example, will definitely improve your performance on a lower spec PC. Whether you want to do that or not is up to you. It strikes me as a bit of a ‘throw stuff at the wall and see if it sticks’ approach to performance tuning.
Truth is, though, there is no magic bullet. Once you’ve identified badly configured stuff / unnecessary stuff that consumes CPU or GPU power and fixed it, the only real way to improve performance is to trade up to better hardware. And there’s a limit there, too. Once you get to 13900K / equivalent AMD and 4090 / equivalent level, you’ve gone as far as you can go until the next generation of hardware. Then it’s trade-offs with settings and how you use the sim, and that’s it.
