I wonder when they will publish the "Official System Requirements" for MSFS2024?

Hi there, I am curious to know about the Official System Requirements when they will publish it? Any help or info is greatly appreciated. TIA

You have as much info on that as we do.

None

That said, the DEV Q&A’s are now done with MSFS and will be focused on 2024 so we should start getting more information and answers.

The next logical question would be “when is the next Q&A”

We also don’t know that yet either

Jorg said in an interview I believe at FSEXPO that they are aiming to be pretty close to 2020’s

Which makes sense, since the sim is still running on the same generation of Xbox as 2020

Come on, you know more than you’re giving up, don’t you?..

When the official specs do show up, I assume thats when the fs2024 product page will go live and it will show up on steam aswell, just like when fs2020 announcement, also a preorder trailer :eyes: tho for digital you dont really need a preorder unless the servers open early

Hello @CaseBug92496684,

The forum moderators are volunteers from the community, not employees of Microsoft or Asobo. They do not have any information beyond what is publicly available.

Thanks,

Did you catch that sarcastic wink? It’s the universal sign for “I’m not actually saying this, but I totally am, and if you don’t get it, well…

They must know. We are 8 weeks out thereabouts? The 3rd parties must be busy with the new version if they don’t want to miss the release.
I don’t expect the sys reqs to go lower, that for sure. My guess, unchanged.

More like 11 weeks

During the Marketplace presentation at FSExpo this year it was said that a 2024 SDK and build are expected to become available “late September”. I don’t think any 3rd party already has access unless they are involved in the development of the MSFS24 platform itself.

Less than 3 months. Too long, either way!

Guess we’ll see what they cover in the Dev Livestream on 25 September!!

I think you’re mostly right. I’m pretty sure some Devs have access to the 2024 SDK, such as it is (I don’t imagine it’s fully fleshed out yet, that they’re still writing it, though it must be mostly specified by now), those planes we’ve already seen flying in sim… Jorg mentioned who’s making the planes I think, of the ones he’s mentioned.

Ain’t nobody gonna say they have access to it, though, NDA’s and all…

Yeah, sure, at least those who are developing some part of MSFS24, being it a subsystem, an airport, an aircraft, missions, … I guess they are providing it to others as well by now as long as they agree to an NDA but that’s just speculation on my part.
I hope we’ll get a nice look and a lot of juicy information on the next dev stream, really looking forward to it.

As I said, I think you’re mostly right, and it’s only those people who are developing for day 1 launch and marketing material who have had any sort of access to what is up until now… maybe. I believe that most of the devs out there are out of the loop, as they’re saying.

Jorg said they were planning on giving SDK access this month to devs.

I wonder if it has happened yet, I imagine the devs would all be under NDA, so they won’t tell us.
