I won't be fooled again

This is very worth watching if you are sitting on the fence. I have to say, I am very much looking forward to release date.

The video is from AvAngel featuring 2024 .

Upgraded =/= new.

New means an airport that hasnā€™t been handcrafted yet. Upgraded is an existing handcrafted airport that has been improved.

We know of at least 2 new airports in 2024, Bilbao and Grand Canyon Airport.

A matter of definition.
A 2024 car with parts and pieces upgraded from the 2020 version is a new car to me. Not to you. Thatā€™s cool.

that is just confusing

Oh, thatā€™s nice, so we also get 70 new planes instead of 30 in the MSFS 2024 standard edition. :upside_down_face:

But maybe we should just stick to the generally accepted meaning of ā€œnewā€

It takes 4 seconds to show photoshooting of an animal. How do you in 4 seconds give information on the increased fidelity of the flight model to the point where people understand? I get the point of what is being said, I just donā€™t think there is a good way to portray that in a trailer. And if you spend the whole trailer only explaining that, you lose the interest of all the people you are trying to interest. Trailers are meant to bring in new users, not inform current users.

ā€œUpgradedā€ means the same airports as before but updated.

And it was confirmed that it is the same airports we already have (when you purchased premium deluxe before) and that we will get them in 2024 no matter what edition you purchased and that we get the updates as well.

So going from deluxe 2020 to deluxe 2024 gives you no benefits from airports over going from deluxe 2020 to standard 2024.

Go ahead and buy it then, bro.
No one is stopping you.
Get all the happiness you can afford :muscle:

you can just say that, with some cool shot of an aircraft flying around, that would do it
caption: ā€œall new flight modelā€ cool shot of an a/c
thats it

As I have pointed out before, you CANā€™T visually demonstrate an improved flight model because you cannot assess a flight model without knowing exactly what control inputs are going into it at any given point in time. A shot of an aircraft executing a turn or climbing tells you nothing without knowing exactly whatā€™s being done with the joystick or yoke or rudder input.

You win. Iā€™m dealing with the aftermath of a major hurricane right now, and have neither the time nor the desire to argue this unimportant point with you.

That was my only doubt, so no reason for more than 24standard for me. :+1::thinking::smiley:

Conditional compilation is used to create different executables. I used it all the time to target different builds for linux and bsd unix.

Just sayingā€¦ What you seem to have in mind is conditional execution of code in the same executable, which leads to code bloat, more debugging problems, and lower performance.

News images are pretty devastating. I hope you guys are able to get back to normal soon.

My sister got to ride out when it came ashore. Luckily a concrete building with some elevation so she wasnā€™t flooded, and slightly on the lee side, but still crazy.

North Carolina seems to be the hardest hit. 30" of rain and devastating floods.
Thereā€™s talk that any residents who still have homes wonā€™t have power for over a month. I canā€™t even imagine thatā€¦ :broken_heart:

Yeah, she never lost power. Some flickers but her power stayed on. She has an emergency battery though but thatā€™s only good for short times without a way to recharge. Emergency backups and microgrid-forming solar are going to get more important going forward it seems.

Me too, but its so temporary and transient ;-(

My head is full of desire, 5090, Somnium vr1, DOF H3, Honeycomb yokeā€¦ it never ends

In fact, it makes me miserable in the long run.

Oh well, appointment with the therapist Tuesday, she will apply a soothing psychological sticking plaster on it. Which of course, will fall off. Rinse repeat, rinse repeat.

Jestingā€¦kinda
