11900k is a hell of a lot of money for a CPU that will be obsolete in 6 months when Intel release Alder Lake on a new socket with pcie 5 and DDR5 support…

I hope so. It seems like CPUs get better for FS each 2nd generation. I remember the 4790k was the ish. Then it was the 6700k, then the 8700k, now the 10700/10900k. Hopefully the 12900k will continue the trend lol. but the 11900k is still a beast.

Another way to maximize the Vram usage and consequently the visual quality is to choose of course the Ultra mode and beyond that to push the scale factor from 100 to 150. This simulates a resilution pushed from 1440x…to 2160x…, i.e the full 4K res. Doing this, the frame rate is still above 30 fps, no stuttering but the GC is loaded at 100%. In this case the graphics are fantastic, they look like the MSFS official trailers, especially for the water. The attached screeshot has been taken during a take off from LFPO, heading to Paris at low altitude (500), real time and real weather.
No other GC is can do that ! Yes the RTX 3090 is already useful on MSFS and the future promises that it will be more and more true (DLSS, DX12,…)
