If I set the landing airport, when I take off I will get very low FPS (low as 10fps)

Nasty FPS drop and lagging on take-off and landing

This was the fix I tried at the suggestion of Captain Sasso. Before launching the sim, navigate to Users>YourUserName>AppData>Local>FlightSimulator. There you should find a folder called “mapscache” and a file called “overrides.json”. Make a backup copy of these files, just in case. Delete these files. Launch the sim.
