If I was Airbus or Boeing

The first thing I would do is make a long call to MS and Asobo to get this thing fixed. I would be ashamed that they let this go on so long to make them either Fix this and now or remove the planes from the game. I know I know I love to fly the big jets. but at this rate they are all broken.

this also make Airbus and Boeing look bad. I remember when FSX came out… sure it had some problems but it wasn’t as bad as 2020, FSX you could at least fly the planes and if something was buggy most of the time there was some sort of work around.

I speak Japanese, and Japanese simmers seem to be mostly overjoyed that a flight simulator finally represents their country instead of neglecting it. Social media is full of people comparing pictures of cities with the real ones.

So nah. You should likely speak for yourself instead of assuming what other people may feel.

You’re kidding right ?

… the A321 in FSX was terrible… FBW was a joke…

So we got some issues here for sure but the crazy thing (mind) would be to expect very high fidelity for a free included Airbus simulated aircraft… Only very few devs managed to release properly simulated Airbus aircrafts in 2 decades…

Name a flight simulator where Default aircraft replicated real world operations… OH wait you cant.

If you bothered to watch the dev live stream the other day they made a VERY GOOD POINT. why would they include study level aircraft in the default sim if it would then put payware developers out of work. God forbid microsoft/asobo doing the right thing and helping 3rd party developers contine to work on there content for the sim.

Unless we’ve played different versions of FSX in different dimensions, this is not accurate to my experience. FSX stock airliners were a mess. I have no problem flying in MSFS, sure there are some quirks but the A320 gets me to point A to point B without issues. If you add the flybywire mod it’s even better. Take a look at “320 Sim Pilot” youtube channel, the guy is a real world Airbus pilot and will help you figure out whatever you are doing wrong, despite the model’s current limitation.

Again, there are issues but this comparison is not fair at all.

As much as I am sure there are tons of glaring issues with the Airbus and the 747, I really doubt they’re that high on Asobo’s priority list. Everyone seems to think they’re not half bad for default included aircraft. And IMO there are a lot more serious core issues that Asobo should be addressing first that affect the overall playability of the the game as well as the ability of third party devs to make content (i.e. G1000/3000 issues, SDK issues, weather issues, etc.). These things are way more important to me because even if Asobo puts out some garbage default aircraft, if the game has a really solid framework it allows 3rd party devs to really run with it, so that’s what I care about right now.

Not only that, but if they kill the third party study developers (which is actually something Microsoft and Asobo can do the day after tomorrow if they want), they will also miss out on the large amount of money in the form of revenue from the in-sim marketplace.

How does Steam make so much money every year? Do they make and sell their own games? Nope. They sell other people’s games and addons and that’s how they became a multi-billion dollar company. That’s how they can maintain and handle their server costs.

Remember Aerosoft said they would bring their Airbus line and the CRJ to MSFS? If the MSFS default A320 Neo acts even half as good and realistic as Aerosoft’s Airbus flight model and system wise, then why would people buy Aerosoft’s Airbus? A huge majority of people are not understanding this point at the moment.

People in these days and age of social media and instant gratification want to have their cake and eat it too. Unfortunately that’s NOT how it works.

your talking about graphics here I’m talking about the game play

Airlines do not care about the representation of an airplane in a flight simulator; this does not impact any aircraft manufacturer’s bottom line or reputation.

Literally no one will make a multi million dollar decision to buy a plane based on their experience in a video game.

No. You’re talking about the “Japanese cultural point of view” of which I assure you, you know absolutely nothing.

Just as you apparently know nothing about the launch of FSX.

they do care and care more so than you think… this is the reason you get a black screen what you crash because they do not want their planes represented in pieces.

I am just posting this topic if I was the CEO of Boeing or Airbus not what they may or may not actually do

Luckily, you’re not.

Yah Exactly ? I wont buy Ferraris or Lambos because Need for Speed made them look bad… I’ll never buy a Citation or fly in one because MSFS makes them look bad…

lol Maybe Ill never go to Japan either because I dont like the way Asobo made it look

OP your Logic is really dumbfounding…

wasn’t that the whole point of this topic?

No, I would imagine that they only start to care when proprietary information regarding the structure of the aircraft is visible to the public. That coupled with the fact that crash mechanics are a waste of development resources is probably why there’s a black screen.

And like I said, no one is going to base the decision on whether to buy an aircraft based on how it behaves in a video game.

This whole thread is moot, no aircraft manufacturer cares except possibly ones that the average simmer can afford (such as the Icon A5 or X-Cub)

This topic doesn’t have a point.

where in your post are you speaking of game play?

Having one’s country represented in detail most certainly influences immersion, which is absolutely related to gameplay.
