I just spent 3 hours fixing my VR problems, so I thought I’d do a post should it help some other poor soul.
My setup : AMD 9800X3D, RTX4090, HP Reverb G2, Windows 11 version 25H2, VR through the Oasis driver on SteamVR.
This issue I had (first noticed it this morning) :
- in VR in the headset, the image was doubled. Like, imagine, you duplicate the image, display it on top of the other but when you move your head, the second image is moving 1/3 of a second after the other. Felt like I had downed two bottles of wine.
- in the VR image displayed on the 2D screen, no problem
- in 2D mode, no problem
After a lot of useless attempts (reinstalling stuff, changing settings) I realised that the culprit was the “Reprojection Mode” of the VR settings in MSFS. Here are my settings now :
I’m pretty sure I had it on before without issues … But there is something about how these things interact
- Latest Oasis driver
- Latest nVidia driver 610.47
- MSFS 2024 SU5
that changes the required settings, at least on my PC. It has to be off.
I hope this will be helpful.
