I recently went back to flying IFR and first noticed that I couldn’t pull up approaches under Procedures on several planes. Then noticed that IFR options are missing from the world map as well. If I try to file an IFR plan, it’s just a straight line, and there are no options for approach, arrival, or departures. I’ve emptied my community folder. I noticed a few comments about missing ILS approaches in some airports, but this is all ILS features everywhere I’ve tried. What gives? And did I miss this topic somewhere else?
You probably deleted Navigraph manually instead of using NavCenter.

I had removed everything from the community folder, including Navigraph. Now after putting things back including Navigraph, IFR and ILS appear to work as usual. Not sure what happened.

The installer app for Navigraph.
As noted above, this is a known problem with deleting the navigraph data manually from the Community folder. It’s best to uninstall it from the installer app, then clear the rest of your community folder.
I’ve recently had the problem of IFR flight plans made with the world map not showing in the G1000NXi. It lasted for a few days. The ATC would recognize that an IFR flight plan was filed and I would enter the plan into the Garmin manually. Now, it works about 50 percent of the time.
I like using AddonLinker for managing the community folder and was unaware of the issue with Navigraph. I’m happy keeping Navigraph but will try to remember the NavCenter if ever needed.
I’ve also passed the KitFox manager in favor of Addonlinker, which seems to work OK. Thanks for all the info.

You’ll miss out about 50% of the addon if you do that.
If you just remove the Navigraph data, then that doesn’t delete a relevant line from your content.xml file, the one referencing NAV data.
Either use the installer to add/remove Navigraph data, or manually update your content.xml, either by manually removing that line from it, or by deleting the file entirely to make MSFS recreate it.
Always use the installer to add/remove Navigraph data. It’s easier and safer.
When SU10 is released, a new version of the installer will also be released, because the methodology changes.
