same issue after reduce speed (stall noise) and descent rate to a minimum.

Hello everyone,

I tested trainings mention here and I also couldn’t finish ILS approach mission. The issue is logged and will most likely be turned into a bug.

Hi guys,

We have fed back the issues with ILS Landing and IFR Test to Asobo, who say a fix will be included with SU8.

Also: I understand that some users of the NXi mod are having avionics issues such as the NDB needle not automatically being displayed. Please stick to the default equipment until the NXi mod is in a more finished state.

same problem here
 I get down to the runway and as soon as I touch down at any descent rate, Madame instructor shouts, “watch out!” and ends the training.

Same here. IFR Navigation training is not working for the last three subjects out of the seven:
NDB Basics (lesson #5 of 7): First instruction is to turn to heading 180°, instructor voice says to watch the needle; keep flying heading 180°, no further instructions; many minutes later eventually the instructor voice says “Where are you going?”
ILS Approach (lesson #6 of 7): Final instruction is to land (after having flown the ILS approach and transitioned to Visual on Final). I did the complete round-out then flared to a smooth landing; and then immediately upon touchdown, the instructor voice says “Watch Out” and immediately ends the lesson as if the airplane crashed.
IFR Test (lesson #7 of 7): After instruction to level out at 3500’ and turn to a heading remaining at 110 knots, I received no further instruction for many minutes (I don’t know if it ever gets beyond that).
I am using the Marketplace version of the Garmin 1000 NXI.

Same here plus the CDI is not selected at the start of the mission as the localiser needle is not displayed at the beginning.

Setting up the instrument for the NDB is confusing and possibly glitchy. I was finally able to get it to work by pushing the PFD option soft key then the Bearing 2 soft key three times until the NDB arrow is shown. I wish they would explain how to set up the electronics - I already know the basics of IFR flight.

The “Watch Out!” on the ILS landing is an obvious glitch. I tried landing farther down the runway but that didn’t help. As soon as the wheels touch down, the instructor’s blotter kicks in, she hallucinates the Pink Elephant on the runway, and it is all over.

I haven’t done the IFR test yet, but I did get the silent treatment from the instructor on an earlier lesson. I ended up changing the way I was flying it (faster descent or a climb - cant remember) and she came back. Try just doing it differently.

For the ILS Approach I raced to the runway and got way ahead of the instructor. I landed and came to a complete stop while the instructor kept talking about glideslope and decent. 20 seconds after I landed the instructor caught up and realized I was on the ground. Without missing a beat he said, “Watch out!”

Almost hilarious but bugs are annoying to us non-beta testers.

Hi guys,

As posted above, make sure to use the default G1000 to give full compatibility for these tutorials, as the NXi is WIP and not officially supported yet. This should resolve any issues with the needles etc.

Asobo are working on fixing the other issues for a future update. Thanks for your patience in the meantime.

This didn’t work for me. Went in as hot as I could but the instructor still said “watch out” the moment the wheels touched down.

As soon as the tutorial starts, turn right and beeline straight to the runway at full power and at whatever altitude you want. Ignore the instructor completely and land as quickly as possible. If you do it “right” you will have landed and the instructor is still giving instructions about the landing approach.

I have marked this thread as solved since Asobo and FSAcademy already stated that they are aware of the issue and it will be fixed on the next sim update

Response 110 is the better resolution because it is clearer that there are other issues here (a lot of people getting this problem and have the stock G1000). I looked at the current resolution and was confused because it doesn’t apply to me.

Still doesn’t work for me. I run wide open straight at the runway (135 kt) with the rev warning flashing. The instructor just goes through the steps faster, with the instruction to transition to visual coming right before I reach the runway guide lights in the water. I pull the power and deploy full flaps at 135 kts and as soon as the wheels touch down, “watch out.” I also waited until I was over the numbers at 140 kts before pulling power and flaps, touching down with ~1000 ft of runway left and same thing.
