Having ils approach issues both with just the sim and with add on FS radio Panel.
This is happening in Asobo aircraft and third party aircraft.
AP will be on flying with heading or gps. Alt mode will be on and set to appropriate altitude to grab the G/S. I’ll put the ils radio frequency in the nav. Cue up the Course bug to the proper heading. This is all done in advance. I’ll Fly and capture the ils Localizer, wait for the glide slope to make it to the middle, hit approach mode and GS if applicable. Sometimes everything goes well. Others the plane just wanders down loved onto the nav frequency and carries me above the airport. The glide slope wont grab hold and bring me in.
It’s the variable success rate that’s most frustrating. It may be that I am an ifr noob. But I’ve been trying this and eating how to videos trying to get this.
