Negative
Brief description of the issue:
When setting up a flight ive done dozens of times the ILS path is wrong causing my plane to take non needed routes. Flight is from Minneapolis to Duluth. Not every flight path is like this, seems to be from airports south and east of destination Duluth.

I dont get it, it use to work. Ive reinstalled the game already, taken off online mode. It keeps getting hung up on a waypoint called DHL i believe. Anyone have an idea how to fix it?

That’s a consequence of the Sim’s Flight Planning Engine not understanding all AIRAC Leg Types/Procedures.

You should be using Working Title’s CJ4 Mod (which will eventually be standardized in the sim), since that version of the Rockwell-Collins ProLine 21 has it’s own FP Engine which is fully AIRAC Procedure aware.

Secondly, you should create your flight plans in an external EFB such as Simbrief or Little Nav Map. Then load them into the CJ4 FMS. The FMS plan and the EFB’s plan will match, but the sim’s engine will still show incorrectly. However, the FMS will guide as it should.

This will eventually get resolved when Working Title replaces the sim’s FP engine with their own.

Try selecting a different runway approach instead of the (approach ILS09).
Use the RNav 09, it will give you a better routing.
You can still use the ILS in the airplane for landing.

So when WT release their flight plan system to the sim the DME arcs now will be possible to do it correctly?

Presumably. Right now the WT PL21 cannot, based on Team comments.

Ok so I assume that they update AIRAC stuff on the reg?

I will look into the Working Title CJ4 but im just a casual flyer, i just like to get in an go quick.

Thank you.

Same thing with the other runway as well, its even worse than this. Ill try with RNav and see how it goes.

Thanks

The AIRAC Procedure Types are a fixed set of data.

AIRAC NavData (i.e., airports, approaches, SID/STAR, frequencies, etc.) is updated regularly. Just today the 17MB update that got pushed to everyone was the Airbus Navblue (stock sim Navdata) getting caught up to current 28-Day AIRAC cycle release.

WT’s FMS reads whatever AIRAC NavData is available - be it NavBlue or if someone is using subscription Navigraph.
