Yesterday I had the “pleasure” of nearly crashing on a misaligned (vertical and horizontal) ILS approach to KOKC 35R. I know this is a known issue with many airports but is there a list of all known airport discrepancies kept somewhere? Is Asobo expecting us to submit a case for each one?
Would be nice to know before you fly in somewhere what to expect.
I know most airports in China have misaligned ILS, This is true specifically for Shanghai and Beijing.
But as soon as I download Navigraph and update all the navaids with it as a community mod. All the misaligned ILS airports are fixed. So give navigraph a try if you haven’t. I find it really cool that in my A320, it shows the ILS category as well using the navigraph update.
This may also be due to the aircraft systems modelling of the frame you were flying rather than the actual ILS. I just flew the same approach in a 208 with no problems (well not with the ILS approach, but the map showed me well east of the actual airport while on approach, but that’s another issue).

You sure the issue of you being shown well east of the airport is not related? I was flying in the A320 with the FBW dev mod. Not sure what you mean by frame but something is definitely off here. I can try with another aircraft…
No idea what’s causing the map issue, I’ll submit that problem. By “frame”, I mean which airframe you’re flying (A320 in your case apparently). It seems like the 320 has more problems with ILS approaches than other planes. Yea, support submitting it either way. Hopefully they can figure out which it is and fix it.
Hi Batterby76
I’ll check the other two airports later, but I just ran all four ILS approaches at KOKC (35L and 17R @ 110.7 and 35R and 17L @ 110.9) and all of them worked fine. Unmodded sim using the D930. This is PC, but the navdata is the same, so shouldn’t make a difference.

P.S. Lakenheath doesn’t have an ILS, just a localizer, and the only approaches there are all visual approaches. Also there’s a runway 24 vice 25. Just to double check, you did mean EGUL??
I can’t find an EGOG to test anywhere.
Same issue with KAVL. This has been identified previously. On the WM, if you zoom in you can see the ILS’s are setup for a misplaced runway. Hopefully it’s on the list of problem airports to be fixed at some point. But you’re right, if you follow the ILS, you’ll land in the wrong place!

Sorry my sausage fingers. EGOV.
KOKC has NO ILS at all on console. None. Nothing. Zip. So pc testing isnt gona work. For some reason its visual only but on pc it has correct freqs.
Well that sucks! I know at one time at least one of the ILS approaches was off by quite a bit, but they got that fixed (at least on PC obviously!) If you zoom in on the WM, does it even show the navaid symbols that should be there for the ILS’s on the runways, and if it does, does it show their frequencies when you click on them? Additionally, does it allow you to pick the ILS approaches from the WM and Garmin (or appropriate nav system)? Trying to figure out if its AIRAC data problem, or a sim issue. I found one on PC the other day that was missing an ILS and it turned out they had deleted the navaid there for some reason (it apparently isn’t a deactivated ILS). [if you’re interested, the missing one on PC is LZTT ILS27. I could even pick the approach in the Garmin, but when I tried to fly it, NADA!]. Here’s to hoping it gets resolved on XBox!
Thanks,
Regards
Ok, I feel guilty about this, but ILS at EGOV seems to be working (PC). It came in a bit off to the right, but I don’t have a chart to see if it’s a displaced ILS in RL.
Hopefully some other Xbox folks will come in here and validate the issues at the places you’ve identified.
Regards
Me, on IniBuilds A320 Neo, at EGPH and ENBO but i suspect everyelse destinations (Edimburgh and Bodø), if the ILS is not aligned with the final approach at the activation of LOC.
Xbox Series X, routes EGLL-EGPH or LIMC-ENBO.
