To be clear here, the ILS is a ground based dumb system that has no idea what aircraft is using it or the capability of the pilot. The ILS has no part in landing the aircraft at all. You’ve been essentially letting the auto pilot fly the aircraft into the ground with the runway happening to get in the way. Some ILS are not actually aligned with the runway so require the pilot to gain sight of the runway and turn to it to land.
In all cases an instrument approach procedure will specify a minimum decent height or altitude that requires the pilot to carry out a missed approach if the required visual references are not met at the missed approach point.

Thank you for the information and Yes that is correct. But wrong impression is given on numerous post on YouTube about ILS approach flying and landing plane. I have one of them stored on PC to reference the setup of the system in route. Other post said to take over at 200 feet, too much going on so have to do it further out, but the point made. This applies to all planes and procedures, DME/VOR/RNAV are just guides to get you to a place where you can take over the plane. Now if I could only get the joystick calibrated good.
With regard to the joystick, I’ve found that if you soften the calibration and increase the dead zone a smidge it works best. Also, as in golf, some folks strangle the stick, golf or joy, just grip it too tight. Just a suggestion. When I did that everything got real smooth.
