Can you point me to any article explaining why you need higher refresh rates for larger screen sizes? You do know that most 4k TVs are 60Hz and are usually bigger than 50"?
A higher refresh rate only allows you to actually experience high frame rates as a standard monitor usually caps you (visually) at 60Hz. If you game at higher FPS, all frames above that are “wasted” and you will suffer from screen tearing. That’s it, there is nothing more to it when it comes to the Hz frequency.
For larger screens you DO need higher resolutions so that pixels remain small (high pixel density). Maybe you are confused about the two things since I see you also threw “aspect ratio” up there, which is also something else entirely.
