Since the patch when I’ve taken off in the c208 caravan, I fly my normal departure from EGCC and all of a sudden black screen “you’ve over stressed the aircraft” no I haven’t! It’s done it quite a few times now and I fly it properly.
No fps difference for me, I run at 4k so maybe that’s why…
Not test much else yet due to time but looking around at the comments and issues I do wonder if this will ever be at the standard people want from it…
It seems to broken alot of stuff this patch, from what I’ve seen.
I do hope it gets better, but arnt patches meant to add and fix issues not break stuff along the way…
Not had that issue with the Caravan here since the patch and I spent a couple of hours flying around in it last night. I’ll try stressing her out a little later and see if that changes:+1:
@Gaz1969uk Have you already filed a proper ticket, with screenshots, exact reproduction data and everything else necessary to fix this bug? Being a developer myself, I know I would appreciate that much more than people ‘wining’ over bugs on a public forum. It does not help you, it does not help the community and neither is it a positive attempt to fix this issue.
Honestly, I love this sim. Seen a lot of game releases through the years, and this one is huge. The quality is still really good. Lets help the developers by providing them with all the details they need!
The scope of this sim is vast and it will take time to be perfect - patience!
Can anyone please tell me of another sim that models the world in very high definition, with real weather, a vast amount of airports and a good selection of useable aircraft - OUT OF THE BOX!
With FSX - I paid a fortune for packages that provides less than MSFS2020 at launch.
No, I don’t work for any of the developers, I just see the vision of this product and have confidence that it will become excellent over the years!
The “other ways” are called alpha and beta tests. Now that MSFS is released and we are at Patch #2 the “whining” phase will only increase, as many will get over the wow phase and try to actually simulate flight.
People who chose to file zendesk are free to do so, people who “whine and complain” are proven justified by the sheer numbers of the same whining and complaining all over the net.
A lot of issue put in Zendesk since months (sometimes from beginning of alpha) are not fixed yet, some importants.
So, i’m also convinced this sim will neever reach the level it should be.
MSFS does not have real weather…it tries but fails.
If it has a “vast amount” of airports where is the only major Int’l Airport of Panama (MPTO)?
If it has a good selection of useable aircraft, why the vast amount of complaints all over the net about most of the aircraft?
The MSFS BOX is still 80% empty in my general estimation. Yes its potential is massive, WE ALL KNOW THAT, but potential means nothing today, especially after Patch #2.
There is not a mass hysteria or insanity here for you to be concerned about. Legitimate complaints from people who want to (and should have been able to on Aug 18th) fly realistically NOW, not later - we have been waiting for 14 years!
Different users have differnet experiences - just look at the forums.
I am not into debate, for me, the weather depictions are pretty accurate for where I fly in the UK.
Most of the aircraft I have flown in the sim, look brillaint, fly reasonably well (essential that you have good FPS).
Companies will target content in the areas with most sales - hence the US gets the bulk of goodies for airports, etc.
I love the sim and will continue to support it with constructive comments and log problems when I see them and can repeat them; my ‘bottle is half full’.
Trying to get xplane 11 running smoothly six months ago was a real headache.I gave up.
Waited to see how Msfs 2020 ran .Better than expected. My PC wasn’t up to open gl flying but this is.
I’m sure there’s plenty of flight simulator fans with the opposite issue.
Biggest ever flight simulator put out ,for all of us to enjoy.Sure it’ll be a bumpy road for a while, nothing perfect in life.
Just try to enjoy it.Switch off dev mode and get flying.
In term of performance, yes it is the best sim i had tried. But it needs at least 1 year to be stable and complete as it should be. It was release too early. Asobo are gods for graphics but for avionics, physics etc…they need peoples with good knowledges and experiences in aviation and flight simulation. That’s my opinion.
A couple thoughts to consider.
If it is advertised as a simulator it should be a simulator. (not a game)
If it advertises specific features those features should work as advertised.
If an item is included in it said item should function similar to it’s real world counterpart.
These are just general thoughts and one must accept it not to be an exact representation of the real world. But there are a lot of things are directly and or indirectly advertised that have not been seen by the general flight sim community. Perhaps this should be a thread of it’s own but some of the post might need a little reality check both ways.
Flight simulators are a very niche market. It would not be a surprise to see that this one targets more casual flyers, with a gaming more than a hardcore approach. They sure want it to be good enough, but I’m not sure they want it to as accurate as some would expect … It’s not a issue as far as we now what and who they do really target. It’s just that we don’t.
“I’m not sure this game will ever be up to standard we want”
You do realise that we’re one month after release and this simulator will be a 10 year project? Have some patience and enjoy the simulator for how awesome it is straight out of the box with no addons!
