I'm Not Sure Where I Am

Not new to MSFS - just not paying attention. I have purchased Standard Edition in 2020. All was going ok so I ‘thought’ I was upgrading. I bought 3 more packages over the following 3 months. These last three packages are for FlightSim Credits. I have:
1 - Standard, Bundled
2 - Standard, Game of the Year, Bundled
3 - Standard, 40th Anniversary GAMEPASS Bundled
4 - 40th Anniversary GAMEPASS
…And I cannot get to xbox support.

What did I buy? and How doe I used them?
Thanks

And I see a never ending loading icon. It must work for you which I will keep in mind.

Try a different browser or a device. Maybe your phone or a tablet if the PC isn’t connecting.

It’s hard to understand what you’ve bought.

If you’re buying things with flightsim credits, then that would seem to indicate you’re purchasing through the in-sim Marketplace.

If that is the case, none of the items you’ve listed would be what you’d purchase there.

The standard edition of the sim has evolved overtime to have different names and features, but if you originally had the standard edition of MSFS 2020, then the Game of the Year Edition and then the 40th Anniversary Edition would have been free automatic updates rather than purchases.

I’m not really sure how to help you parse what you’ve “purchased”.

The biggest upgrades one could purchase with flightsim credits would be either the Deluxe upgrade, Premium upgrade or Premium Deluxe upgrade. These are all pretty pricey and the worst way to go about it would be get to the Deluxe and then later decide to get the Premium, as the pricing is worse than just going straight for the Premium Deluxe.

However, you didn’t mention those names as part of your purchases.

I have the same thing. Bought the standard and every time I go to install those 3 show up. It don’t matter which one you install, it’s gonna install the latest version of the standard edition. It’s confusing I know. In the end, you only made one purchase.

You guys mean like this?

It’s normal xbox idiocracy  , not your fault.
I bougth the premium deluxe from the start of flightsim and the other two showedup as well, all the time, they never changed it… oddly enough, it used to say standard edition and the other one deluxe edition… now it’s game of the year and premium deluxe edition, whereas it only says standard is installed, yet i have all the planes from the deluxe… but yeah, that’s confusing… definately an xbox bug that nobody but us cares about.

I dont even bother going into the Xbox launcher, i usually just click the flightsimulator icon on my desktop.

Be sure to just run the first one, then go to the ingame marketplace (on the front page when you have loaded in) and look for updates and free world updates… those will enhance you flightsim.

Hope this helped.

Yep. Mine’s even more confusing because I got the Game Pass version first to try it out for a month (I got game pass free for a month) and then bought the Standard version. Yeah its really a messed up ball of confusion. I generally will install the game pass standard edition but no matter which one I install I get the latest version.

Very helpful. A relief. Now, how to start the game I’ve been playing for years.

I checked android and my win11 laptop.
No problem accessing xbox/support.
So, there is something goofy with my win10 pc hosting MSFS.
I’ll bang on it a bit more.
Thanks

Not sure what fixed it. As of 17Nov23, I can now load support.xbox.com.
The only major change I made was re-installing win10 (15Nov23) which comes with reloading things like browsers. I hate it when computers silently fix themselves. So, No idea what caused it and no idea what fixed it. Not very helpful. Sorry.
