Import flight plans created in EFB software

The stock flightplanner in MSFS is lacking in a lot of areas, and is relatively quite clunky to anyone that is used to EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) software. Dealing with user waypoints in particular seems to be a real hassle.

I use AvPlan for RL flightplanning, which exports GPX files. I understand Foreflight exports XMLs? It would be really nice if we could import these into the sim.

Not what you’re asking for, but a possible workaround: If you define a flight plan on SimBrief, there is an optional SimBrief Downloader tool available that can create a .pln file from that most recent flight, available to load on the MSFS World Map. You can also download and move the .pln from the website manually without the downloader tool.
